Lunds & Byerlys Fresh Kitchen employees voted unanimously October 31 to ratify a two-year contract.

The bargaining unit includes nearly 50 workers who are represented by UFCW Local 663.

The contract included: Wage increases of $2 per hour for year one and $2 per hour for year two, pay equity, employer paid health and welfare, better overtime protections, improved bereavement, lead pay in base wages, and increases in shift differentials.

Pay increases will be retroactive to April 3, 2023, the union reported.

In addition, the union reported, the contract included no takeaways.

The Fresh Kitchen workers prepare all the “grab and go” deli items for all of the Lunds & Byerlys stores throughout the entire metro area.
