Social share icons

In 2004, the Labor Review launched an online archive of all previous issues of the newspaper since its first issue published in April 1907.

This searchable archive includes all issues of the MinneapolisLabor Review published from April 1907 through May 2024 (new issues will be uploaded as they are published). In the archive, you can view, zoom in/out, and download old issues of the MinneapolisLabor Review exactly as they appeared in print — and it's all searchable!

Search the archive by an individual’s name, a topic, or a date. Or, use the "Issue List" pull-down menu to select the date of of the Labor Review issue which you want to view.

A labor of love...

In spring 2004, forty-five union and community volunteers spent five weeks using a high-quality digital camera to scan every single back issue of the Minneapolis Labor Review since 1907.

“The Labor Review Archive is our gift to the community to promote the study of labor history and to help keep that history alive,” said Bill McCarthy, president of the then Minneapolis Central Labor Union Council in 2004. “We thank the many unions and individuals who have donated to the Labor Review Archive Project to date.”

Thank you to the volunteers across our community who made this digital archive possible with all of their hard work.
