Early voting begins September 20 for November 5 general election
MINNEAPOLIS — In Minnesota, any eligible voter may vote early for any reason.
Early voting for the November 5, 2024 general election begins Friday, September 20 and continues through Tuesday, November 4.
For information about where and how to vote, including information about early voting, or to request an absentee ballot, visit the Minnesota Secretary of State’s website at mnvotes.org.
For city of Minneapolis residents, in-person early voting is available at the Minneapolis Elections & Voter Services office at 980 E. Hennepin Ave.
The office has free outdoor parking right outside and is accessible via Metro Transit bus routes 4, 25, and 61.
From September 20 through October 18, the office will be open weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Beginning October 21, extended hours including weekend hours will be available there.

For Hennepin County residents, early voting is available beginning September 20 at local election offices and at the skyway level of the Hennepin County Government Center, 300 S. 6th St. in downtown Minneapolis. Early voting hours at Hennepin County Government Center will be weekdays from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. through October 25. Beginning October 26, extended hours and weekend hours will be available there.
