MRLF endorses school board candidates for
Anoka-Hennepin, Bloomington districts
20 levies in 12 school districts also endorsed

MINNEAPOLIS — Delegates to the Minneapolis Regional Labor Federation, AFL-CIO voted September 11 to endorse two school board candidates for the Anoka-Hennepin school district and three candidates for the Bloomington school district. Delegates also endorsed 20 school levy questions that will be on the ballot in 12 different school districts this fall.
Anoka-Hennepin school district:
Heers-McArdle and Hayes endorsed
For Anoka-Hennepin school board District 1, the MRLF endorsed Erin Heers-McArdle.
She is challenging 20-year incumbent Tom Heidemann, who has run with MRLF endorsement in the past.
District 1 includes western Andover, Anoka, western Coon Rapids and southwestern Ramsey.

For Anoka-Hennepin School Board District 5, the MRLF endorsed one-term incumbent Nicole Hayes.
District 5 includes Brooklyn Center, Brooklyn Park, southern Coon Rapids and Fridley.
Hayes is running unopposed.

Bloomington school district:
Korman, Moravec, Olson endorsed
The seven school board members for Bloomington Public Schools all are elected at-large and three positions are up for election this year.

School levies
School districts with levies endorsed by the MRLF include: Annandale, Buffalo-Hanover-Montrose, Eastern Carver County, Fridley, Glencoe-Silver Lake, Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted, Hutchinson, Jordan, Litchfield, Spring Lake Park, Watertown-Mayer, Westonka.
