MRLF announces campaign schedule, seeks volunteers

MINNEAPOLIS — With the coming of Labor Day, the fall campaign season is about to move into full swing. The Minneapolis Regional Labor Federation, AFL-CIO has announced its Labor 2016 schedule of doorknocks and phonebanks to contact union members about the 2016 elections. The MRLF asks union members to volunteer for one or more shifts.
Meet for doorknocks or phonebanks at the United Labor Centre, 312 Central Ave., Minneapolis in Room 550. Free parking is available after 3:00 p.m.

Beginning Tuesday, September 6, you can volunteer to make calls Monday through Thursday. Shift 1 runs 3:30-7:00 p.m. Shift 2 runs 5:00-8:30 p.m.
Beginning Tuesday, September 6, you can volunteer to go doorknocking, Monday through Thursday, from 5:00-8:30 p.m.
Beginning in October, doorknocking will continue Monday through Thursday from 4:30-8:00 p.m. A Sunday shift will be added from 3:30-7:00 p.m.
Days of Action: October 1, October 15
In addition, Labor 2016 Days of Action are planned October 1 and October 15.
Saturday, October 1, volunteers will be needed for doorknocking union households. Shifts will be available from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. or from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
