Labor Education Service Offers Workers Rights Training for Teen-Aged Workers

SAINT PAUL — A free community class to teach teenaged workers about their rights on the job will be offered in January by the University of Minnesota Labor Education Service and the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry. The class, “Youth @ Work,” will be Saturday, January 20, from 9:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Dendros Group, 2642 University Ave. W., Suite 140, in Saint Paul.

The class will explore topics including: Why do workers organize? What is a union? What are your rights as teenage workers? How can you advocate for yourself and others?

Space is limited and pre-registration is required.
